Camp Concierge & Customer Support

Camp Concierge & Customer Support

Season 2, Episode 20

Camp Concierge at your service! On this week's episode, EmJ is joined by Stacie Simpson, Darby Dame, and Leslie Zukrow talking customer service and family communication. They dive deep into the importance of pre-camp communication to prepare the whole family AND how are we addressing the want for more communication (photos, calls, emails, etc.) during camp. They share real ideas and real tool for camps that don't have designated communication staff.

If you're looking for multiple ways to level up your family communication and customer service, this is the pod for you.

Producer EmJ's Takeaways:

  1. Use several mediums to share with families. Start texting them, start sending videos.
  2. More slushy coupons!
  3. Its cheaper to retain a camper than to recruit one.

Stacie Simpson, YMCA-1

Stacie Simpson

As the Director of Camp Communications, I am focused on connecting families with camp - during your campers’ session and year-round. I’m a camper parent myself, and know exactly how it feels to drop off your camper on check-in day. My sincere hope is that you’ll have the information you need from camp, or know exactly how to find it. I’m always here for you, by email, phone, text, or social media. I hold a bachelors degree in Youth Programming & Camp Management, am a former Camp Director and Program Director, and I’ve been a volunteer on various committees and spoken at conferences for the American Camp Association. I have been a member of the YCG team since October 2022. I’m so excited to get to know you and your family, as we experience the magic of camp, together!
